Content Warning

The content in this course necessarily discusses the sexual assault of people, which may be emotionally and intellectually challenging. We do our best to make this course a space where we can engage bravely, empathetically, and thoughtfully with potentially difficult content. This course includes realistic portrayals of patients who have experienced sexual assault and may be triggering for some.

We use moulage (specialized make-up techniques) to simulate injuries, abuse, and strangulation in our standardized patient (SP) scenarios. These depictions can be intense and potentially triggering for some individuals. If at any point during the simulation you feel uncomfortable or experience difficulty, please don't hesitate to notify a staff member or coach. Your well-being is our priority, and we are here to support you.
