Strangulation Simulation Bootcamp
Course Description
Learning Outcome(s)
At the end of the bootcamp, learners will be able to:
- Gather a history related to a strangulation event using trauma-informed practices
- Identify injuries that may result from strangulation
- Demonstrate documentation techniques for injuries related to strangulation
Content Warning
We use moulage (specialized make-up techniques) to simulate injuries, abuse, and strangulation in our standardized patient (SP) scenarios. These depictions can be intense and potentially triggering for some individuals. If at any point during the simulation you feel uncomfortable or experience difficulty, please don't hesitate to notify a staff member or coach. Your well-being is our priority, and we are here to support you.
