Medical Forensic Photography Bootcamp

Course Description

This course provides a hands-on opportunity to learn photography of injuries using standardized patients (patient actors). Forensic photography techniques will be discussed, and learners will be able to practice with photography equipment.

Cameras will be provided. If you prefer to bring your own camera, please feel free to do so.

Learning Outcome(s)
After attending this simulation, 85% of learners will gain knowledge and skill related to the legal, technical, and clinical aspects of medical forensic photo-documentation.
Content Warning
The content in this course necessarily discusses the sexual assault of people, which may be emotionally and intellectually challenging. We do our best to make this course a space where we can engage bravely, empathetically, and thoughtfully with difficult content. This course includes realistic portrayals of patients that have experienced sexual assault and may be triggering for some.

This simulation contains required online asynchronous course content (available via https://tamu.instructure.com). Course content is made available prior to the in-person simulation date and must be completed before attending the in-person simulation. More information will be provided upon registration.
