IPV and Pregnancy: What Forensic Nurses Need to Know

Course Description
This course provides registered nurses and forensic nurses the education to recognize the subtle signs of IPV and appropriately intervene to ensure safety for those involved.
Learning Outcome(s)
85% of learners who attend the entire online educational webinar, will report a self-increase in knowledge regarding common indicators of IPV, factors for IPV in pregnancy, and possible health outcomes for the mother and child related to IPV.
Content Warning
The content in this course necessarily discusses the sexual assault of people, which may be emotionally and intellectually challenging. We do our best to make this course a space where we can engage bravely, empathetically, and thoughtfully with difficult content. This course includes realistic portrayals of patients that have experienced sexual assault and may be triggering for some.
